Sound Storm was originally developed by the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) and Hearing Australia – Australia’s largest provider of government-funded hearing services – through the leadership and academic credentials of Professor Harvey Dillon and Professor Sharon Cameron.
In 2019, the program was bought by Nomad Agency Pty Limited, the original app developers of Sound Storm. It is now owned and operated independently by Sound Storm CAPD Pty Limited, a wholly independent business owned and operated by Deepend Group Pty Limited.
